What is an entrepreneurial ecosystem?

Our ecosystem refers to a network of support systems and resources that help entrepreneurs start, grow, and sustain their businesses. It includes a combination of institutions, programs, and community initiatives designed to foster entrepreneurship.

Our Ecosystem

Our ecosystem encourages collaboration and provides tools at every stage of the entrepreneurial journey. From ideation to expansion our system is broken into four major stages of support for your business:

    • Boosts visibility through tools like:

      • Website development

      • Social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, newsletters)

      • Podcasts and events (e.g., Southeast Geeks, Silicon Slopes East Speaker Series)

    • Helps connect entrepreneurs with news, partnerships, and updates

    • Focuses on education and upskilling:

      • Business plan creation

      • Concept development and projections

      • Apprenticeships, internships, and industry certifications

      • Custom-fit training programs like those offered by USU Eastern

    • Provides financial support through:

      • Private capital (angel investors, venture funds, lenders)

      • Public resources (e.g., Wildcat MicroFund, Utah Microloan Fund, SBA, SERDA RLF, BTAC RLF)

      • Pitch competitions to secure investment

  • Connects entrepreneurs to experienced mentors and helpful networks:

    • Wildcat MicroFund, Weber State programs, SCORE, Small Business Development Center

    • Networking events and models like SCAPE

    • Entrepreneurial Launch Pad
